Always a Bridesmaid: My Best Friend's Wedding
I had an absolutely fantastic time this past weekend at my college roommate Patrice's wedding in Virginia. Not only was I totally thrilled that she found someone to make her so happy in life, but I was thoroughly impressed with her ability to take an event that can often be stiff and formal, and make it into the party that it should be. Once the dance floor finally cleared at midnight, the newly minted couple continued the party back at the hotel, where all of their friends hung out into the early morning hours. Patrice is so down-to-earth and fun spirited, that she actually traveled to IHOP at 5 a.m., still wearing her wedding dress. Congrats to them for remembering that a wedding is really a time to celebrate family and friends.
