More Great Press: Check Out Dueling Tampons
Intrigued by the title of this blog post? Read on! Dueling Tampons is a very cool website that features University of Pennsylvania alumni pursuing careers in the arts (No, John Legend isn't the only one! There are tons of us). Why does the website have such an insane moniker? Penn peeps recognize the crude reference to the odd looking sculpture on campus that resembles said nickname. You can look at the picture to the right and judge for yourself. Anywho, click the link before I disappear from the main page:

Rachel the Authoress: Just Hot Enough for TV
Over the summer, I had the pleasure of being a guest on a fantastic Boston based show called Wake Up Live!!! I got an email today from one of the show's hosts, Corey Manning (comedian by night, superhero by day), complaining that I seem to give everyone a shout out except him. So great news. All of the show's episodes are now online, so enjoy my ten minutes of fame (my Q&A starts around minute 18).

First Friday: Celebrate the End of the RNC
I don't know about you, but I could use a place to unwind after the draining experience of watching "highlights" (and I use that term very loosely), of the Republican National Convention this week. It's time to have some fun. So if you're in the Boston area, come on down to the Park Plaza hotel at 10:00 p.m. for First Friday. Great scene, great music, and I'll be there selling autographed books for a special one night only price. See you there!P.S...Yes, I know that I've posted the photo of Obama and me on a previous blog entry. But be real. Can it really be posted too many times? :-)

Men Are From Mars: Part 872
Anyway, she got a phone call from a guy she used to talk to on the phone a while back, but still keeps in touch with via email and text messages. He said he was in town for the weekend and wanted to hang out. So they met for lunch, over the course of which he touched her leg and suggested that they meet up at a party DC next month. Two hours into their afternoon, the subject of weddings came up and she asked him whether he was thinking about marriage at all. He responded, "Oh yeah. I'm actually about to be engaged soon." Turns out he's had a girlfriend for the last two years for whom he's ring shopping as we speak. So she would like to know from my readers: was this outing friendly or shady?
Pictured above right: Camp-Lo performing at Blue Wave Lounge in Boston on Saturday night. Do you remember where you were when "Luchini" came out? It was my sophomore year, and we sure did use it for a scene in one our infamous Penn fashion shows. Ah, the memories.
