Happy Thanksgiving: Damn, I'm Lucky.
So I've been kind of moping around lately, feeling a bit sorry for myself for a myriad of ridiculous reasons (I heard somewhere that myriad is actually an adjective, so I should therefore say "for myriad ridiculous reasons," but I'm not quite ready to accept that fact). Thank goodness Thanksgiving comes around once a year to slap stupid people like myself in the face and say, "Girlfriend, you is crazy!"
Seriously, what are my issues? Let's see: I don't have as much time as I'd like to stay in touch with friends, travel, and write my book. Oh, and Boston drives me crazy because I know everybody already. And we can't forget a couple of minor sub-plots that seem better suited for an episode of Laguna Beach than for my actual life. But really, are these problems?
If you're one those idiots like me who is currently whining about your scenario, please answer the following questions: 1) Are you healthy? 2) Are you employed? 3) Do you have friends and family you can call during those moments when you're feeling low? If you have answered "Yes" to all three questions, it doesn't necessarily mean that your life is fantastic. But it's good to check in with yourself now and then just to make sure that you're not trippin' over what is really just a tiny bump in the road.
